Calming Music and Sound for Alive Innovations
Proof of Concept Proposal:
Goal: Create a 10 min. music/sound track that can integrate with Alive Innovations products to help customers dealing with Anxiety, Depression, etc.

What to expect
Ideation phase: First, we will brainstorm 3-5 ideas (about 1 minute each) to settle on the right tone before starting the full 10-minute track.
We will provide up to 3 rounds of revisions during the ideation phase to address notes from the team and determine the sonic tone/direction.
Full track: We will create a 10 min high quality .wav full mix that seamlessly loops to fit the duration of the patient’s experience.
Sound Design: We will add sounds to the track OR have sounds looping separately to match any visual elements (TBD upon further conversations).
We will provide up to 3 rounds of revisions to address notes from the team on the full track.
Final Deliverables: We will deliver all music and sound stems with the final track.
We will mix and master the final track for stereo and surround sound formats as needed.
We want to work with Alive Innovations to create the best sounds, instruments, frequencies, emotions, and music styles to suit the company’s products.
Here’s what you can expect when working with us!

About Us
Stephen Spies and Cheska Navarro are a composer duo from Southern California. Between the two of them they have an Emmy, over 60 IMDB credits combined, and have worked on numerous Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR and VR) projects.
Cheska Navarro, a Filipina American composer, began her music journey while still working as a scientist in a clinical laboratory. During this time she started documenting her journey on Instagram and YouTube. Despite her parents wanting her to go into medicine, she balanced a full time job as a scientist while professionally composing for 3 years until she ultimately had enough work to leave the lab. Now she lives in San Diego with her fiancé and spends her time composing, mentoring up-and-coming musicians, and bouldering with friends!
Stephen Spies started on violin at the age of 5 and began writing music in middle school. He now lives in Redondo Beach, California with his wife, working as a full time composer and sound designer for film, AR/VR, and interactive projects. He recently participated in the BrainMind conference at Google X, writing pieces for multiple experiments geared towards observing how our brain responds to different elements of music. Stephen also volunteers as a songwriting instructor at “My Friend’s Place,” a resource center for homeless youth in Los Angeles.
Cheska and Stephen met on Instagram after coming across each other’s work and quickly started writing music together. With Stephen’s expertise as a violin player and Cheska’s mastery of the ukulele and indie synth sounds, they quickly formed a wide ranging and unique voice. Their first collaboration, “Until the End of Time”, brought larger than life strings and synths together with ukulele textures and ambient vocals to score footage from the International Space Station. Inspired by composers such as Max Richter, Jon Brion, José González and Theodore Shapiro, they wrote more tracks refining their sound and building the artistic partnership. They are now writing music together, and constantly sending Logic files back and forth for numerous projects!
